The Grand National Wedding Cake Competition
The Grand National Wedding Cake Competition is held in Tulsa, Oklahoma every year. The top of the top cake decorators gather together and enter a piece in which they compete for unbelievable prizes. Kerry Vincent (Food Network Challenge Judge) is the show director of the show and considers the competition the Super Bowl of Cakes. Mercedes first entered the show in 2009 and won the Grand Prize of the show with her mermaid wedding cake that is the cover cake of her book Satin Ice Sugar Craft in sponsorship with Satin Fine Foods. Again, Mercedes cake was full of intricate detail and it landed her in the Top 5 this year in Tulsa! This Under the Sea Cake was the cake Mercedes created for the 2009 Grand National Wedding Cake Competition
